Sonoqueen is a device using the latest generation HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology, which makes it possible to achieve spectacular effects of improved skin firmness and elasticity, thereby satisfying even the most demanding of Patients.
During the procedure, a concentrated beam of ultrasound waves reaches the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS), which acts as scaffolding under the skin and is responsible for such functions as the maintenance of firmness in the particular areas of the body. The main component of this system is collagen.
Collagen is a ‘living’ biologically active protein responsible for the strength and elasticity of the skin and other tissues. When heated to 60? - 70?, collagen fibres are shortened and thickened, which translates into improved tension and elasticity of the tissue. This process results in spectacular improvement of skin tautness and ?rmness.
The regeneration process occurs in deep skin layers and the first effects are visible immediately after the procedure. However, the final effect does not appear until 3 to 6 months after the treatment.
Sonoqueen is a procedure recommended to people whose skin has shown signs of flabbiness and slackening, especially in such areas as the abdomen, inner thighs, upper arms or over the knees. Depending on the Patient’s age, skin condition and expected effects, the physician selects relevant treatment parameters.
The first stage involves application of ultrasound gel onto the treatment area. Next, the physician starts the procedure which – depending on the treatment area – lasts from 45 minutes to 2 hours. When the procedure is over, the Patient receives post-treatment recommendations to follow.
A huge advantage of this procedure is its painlessness. The procedure requires no anaesthesia and is described by Patients as highly comfortable.
The number of recommended treatment procedures is an individual matter and depends on such factors as the Patient’s age, skin condition and expected effects. One series consists of 1 – 3 treatment procedures at intervals of 3 – 4 months.
The duration of the treatment procedure depends on the site – smaller areas require 45 minutes (e.g. the skin over the knees) whereas larger ones – up to 2 hours (e.g. the abdomen, buttocks).
Immediately after the procedure, slight reddening may appear to the skin, which normally fades after a few hours. Immediately after the procedure, Patients can resume their normal daily activities and no convalescence period is required.
