About the procedure

Carbon peeling is otherwise known as laser peeling, Hollywood Peel or Black Doll treatment. The treatment owes its popularity to Hollywood stars who have it performed before important events to give their skin a healthy and radiant glow. The procedure uses the potential of the high-energy Q-Switch Nd:Yag laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm in combination with carbon cream applied to the treatment site.

What does the treatment procedure look like?

The treatment procedure is divided into 3 stages:

1. The first stage involves thorough cleaning of the treatment site and protecting the Patient’s eyes with special safety goggles.

2. After that, the treatment site is covered with carbon cream which is precisely massaged into the skin and then left to dry for approx. 10–15 minutes.
3. The next stage involves the first application of the laser in order to increase the absorption of carbon particles into the pores and stimulate the regeneration of the skin’s cells.
4. Next, a laser beam with a wavelength of 1064 nm is applied to the skin, causing the so-called micro-explosions of the carbon particles on the skin’s surface. Then, the laser’s impulses eliminate the carbon, dermal contamination from the pores and excessive sebum secretions from the skin – this is accompanied by characteristic sounds and the skin feels slightly warm.

When the procedure is over, the skin is perfectly clean and its regenerative processes stimulated, without any visible traces on the external layer of the skin itself.

Pain sensations

Recommended number of treatment procedures

This procedure can be performed in series or on a one-off basis before an important event. The number of recommended treatment procedures is an individual matter and depends on such factors as the skin’s condition and expected effects.

To achieve the ‘glow’ effect of smooth and radiant skin, the procedure should be performed a day or two before an important event.

In order to unify the skin’s tone, rebuild its structures, smooth out the wrinkles as well as permanently improve its firmness and flexibility, it is necessary to stimulate special processes in the skin, the effects of which will be visible after a few sessions. It is recommended to undergo a series of 3–5 treatment sessions at intervals of 2–4 weeks.

Duration of the treatment procedure
