The comprehensive consultation with a clinical dietician includes a detailed nutritional history, body composition analysis using the InBody device and nutritional education. The body composition analysis is an ideal starting point for bringing a balanced diet into the daily menu. To make the beginnings easier, our clinical dietician may prepare a personalised nutritional plan based on the results obtained.
The dietary consultation encompasses an in-depth nutritional and health history, body composition analysis using a professional medical device known as InBody, nutritional education and initial recommendations concerning diet and nutrition.
Such dietary consultation may be extended by personalised menus that take into account the restrictions recommended in elimination diets, food allergies and intolerances, diet-dependent diseases, thyroid problems, and nutrition of pregnant women.
An individual menu may be prepared for 7, 14 or 28 days.
The dietary consultation with body composition analysis is recommended for everybody. It is a safe and effective method for verifying such parameters as adipose (fatty) tissue mass and its percentage content, visceral fat level, protein and mineral substance content, water content in the body and many others. It is also an excellent opportunity to become familiar with nutritional recommendations consistent with the latest scientific research.
The first stage involves an in-depth nutritional and health history, where the dietician asks the Patients about their current habits and preferences in terms of nutrition. It is recommended that the Patient prepare a list of food and liquids for the first consultation, specifying the time of consumption and the amount consumed over at least 3 days prior to the consultation.
The second stage consists in analysing the body composition using the InBody 120 medical device. The body composition analysis is based on the concept of electrical bioimpedance, which is a non-invasive, quick and safe method.
The InBody analysis makes it possible to determine such parameters as:
Once the analysis is over, the dietician shows general recommendations concerning nutrition adapted to the results obtained. Furthermore, it is possible to purchase personalised menus that take into account the Patient’s individual nutritional preferences and restrictions related to the particular diseases or food intolerances.
The analysis using the InBody 120 medical device requires direct contact of the Patient’s feet and palms with the electrodes of the analyser. It is important that the Patient’s limbs not adhere to the trunk or touch each other. Prior to the analysis, it is recommended to take off all the jewellery and metal items, which might otherwise interfere with the correct current flow and consequently reduce the effectiveness of the measurement.
Before the first consultation, it is recommended that the Patient prepare a list of food and liquids, specifying the time of consumption and the amount consumed over at least 3 days prior to the consultation. Such a list will make it possible for the dietician to take a reliable nutritional history.
During the consultation, the dietician conducts the body composition analysis which must be performed on an empty stomach or at least two hours after the last meal. It is advisable to refrain from intensive physical effort for approx. 12 hours before the analysis. No alcohol may be consumed for 48h before the examination.
The first consultation includes the body composition analysis and a nutritional history, which takes approx. 60 minutes, whereas each follow-up consultation with the body composition analysis takes approx. 30 minutes.
